Photo Resizer & Signature 20KB — Privacy Policy
Effective 3 October 2026. This policy covers the Android app Photo Resizer & Signature 20KB (com.photoresizer.reduceinkb.examform) and applies in addition to the Aarvion privacy policy.
The short version: There are no accounts and no sign-in. The photos, signatures and documents you resize are processed on your phone. They are sent to us only if you choose to turn on “Help improve Photo Resizer” (section 3) — it is off unless you tap Allow, and you can turn it off at any time. A few other things do leave your phone, and each is described below: anything you type into the in-app feedback form (section 4), anonymous statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase), recordings of how the app's screens are used (Microsoft Clarity), and the data Google AdMob uses to show the ads that keep the app free.
1. What stays on your device
Reading, cropping, resizing, compressing, enhancing and converting your images and PDFs all happen on your phone, using your phone's own processor. The results are saved to your phone's storage or to the place you choose. The app also keeps your settings, your own custom presets and its preset cache on your phone.
The multi-page document scanner never uploads anything: its scans and PDFs stay on your phone even if “Help improve Photo Resizer” is on.
2. Accounts
The app has no accounts. We never ask for your name, and we only receive an email address or phone number if you choose to give one (section 4).
3. Optional: “Help improve Photo Resizer”
After your first resize, the app asks once whether you want to help improve it. Nothing is shared unless you tap “Allow”. Closing the question counts as “Don't allow”. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Help improve Photo Resizer; turning it off stops all further sharing immediately, including anything still waiting to be sent.
- What is shared: each photo, signature or document image you resize (the image you picked and the resized result), plus the preset name, app version, Android version and device model. Documents can contain personal details such as ID numbers.
- What is removed first: before sending, the image is re-encoded on your phone at no more than 2048 pixels, which removes its location (GPS) and all other hidden photo metadata. No name, account, advertising ID or IP address is stored with it.
- Why: only to test and improve the app's image processing — for example sharper signatures and more accurate cropping — including training our own image-processing models.
- How it is protected: sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to Aarvion's own server, stored outside any public website, and accessible only to Aarvion. It is never sold and never shared with third parties.
- How long: each image is deleted automatically 30 days after we receive it. The programme ends on 31 December 2026; after that the app stops asking and sends nothing.
- Unreliable connections: sending happens in the background, only when you are online, and is abandoned after a few failed attempts. It never delays or blocks your resize. The same image is never sent twice.
4. Feedback and support
- In-app feedback form: if you send feedback from Settings, we receive the message you type, the contact details you choose to add (optional — email or phone), your app version, Android version, device model and language, and a short list of the steps you took in the app just before, so we can understand the problem. Your photos are never included. This is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and used only to read and answer your feedback.
- “Report an issue”: opens your own email app with a diagnostic log attached. We receive whatever you send, including your email address, and use it only to reply to you.
Both are entirely optional; the app works fully without them.
5. Services from other companies
| Service | Purpose | What it may process |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Shows the ads that keep the app free | Advertising identifier, approximate location derived from IP address, device and ad-interaction data |
| Google Firebase Analytics | Counts how features are used so we know what to improve | App events (for example “resize completed”), app-instance ID, device model, Android version, approximate country |
| Google Firebase Crashlytics & Performance | Crash reports and speed problems | Crash stack traces, device model, Android version, app version, the steps that led to the problem |
| Google Firebase Cloud Firestore | Delivers updated exam and form size presets; stores in-app feedback (section 4) | Preset downloads carry no personal data; feedback as described above |
| Microsoft Clarity | Recordings of how the app's screens are used, so we can find confusing or broken screens | Screens visited, taps and text typed into the app's fields, recordings of the app's screens — which can include the images shown on them — device model, Android version and app version. Operated by Microsoft under its own privacy policy (privacy.microsoft.com) |
| Google Play services / ML Kit | On-device models for face, text and edge detection and background removal | Model download requests; the images analysed stay on your phone |

Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in Settings → Google → Ads on your phone.
6. Permissions
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Camera | To scan document pages inside the app. Requested only when you open the scanner. |
| Photos and media / storage | To let you pick an image or PDF and save the result. |
| Internet and network state | For updated presets, ads, analytics, crash reports and the optional sharing in section 3. |
| Notifications | To show progress while a long scan or export runs. |
7. Children
The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
8. Keeping and deleting data
Images shared through “Help improve Photo Resizer” are deleted automatically 30 days after we receive them. Feedback is kept only as long as we need to answer it. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your phone, except files you saved to your gallery or Downloads, which remain yours. To ask us to delete data, email extremetech24@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days. Shared images are stored without your name or any account, so we usually cannot find one particular person's images — but they are deleted within 30 days regardless.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. Email us and we will answer.
10. Security
Everything the app sends to us travels over HTTPS. Images shared in section 3 are stored outside any public website and are accessible only to Aarvion.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how this app handles data, we will update this page and its effective date, and note material changes in the app's Play Store release notes.
